Dit jaar is het 25 jaar geleden dat Christina Aguilera haar debuutalbum ‘Christina Aguilera’ uitbracht, met daarop internationale megahits als ‘Genie In A Bottle’, ‘What A Girl Wants’ en ‘Come On Over’. De popster viert de bijzondere verjaardag van haar debuut met een speciale jubileumuitgave: ‘The 25th Anniversary of Christina Aguilera | Spotify Anniversaries LIVE’. Op de special staan nieuwe versies van haar grootste hits, waarbij ze een nieuwe versie opnam van ‘What a girl wants’ met Sabrina Carpenter. Het is haar nieuwe singel!
In een interview met Rolling Stone vertelt Christina: “I wanted to celebrate the 25th anniversary of my debut album in a way that brings together the past and present. I’ve always enjoyed reimagining my songs with different styles and audiences, as well as playing with sounds and arrangements that showcase how all music can be timeless.”
