Terwijl Snow Patrol op weg is naar de top 10 van de Hitzound 40 met de comeback singel ‘The beginning’, brengt de Britse band de opvolger ‘This is the sound of your voice’ uit. Frontman Gary Lightbody bouwt het liefdeslied subtiel op zoals Snow Patrol dat goed kan. De track schreef Gary samen met Johnny McDaid, Nathan Connolly en Will Reynolds. Snow Patrol over’This is the sound of your voice’: “Another step on the path… we’re putting out another track from our new album this week. It’s a special one to us.” Beide songs staan op het aankomende album The Forest Is The Path’. De plaat komt uit op 13 september, 6 jaar na de LP ‘Wildness’.
Het Britse trio komt op 8 februari 2025 naar de Ziggo Dome om hun nieuwe materiaal te spelen. Maar ongetwijfeld blikt Snow Patrol ook terug op hun 25-jarige carrière vol tijdloze hits als ‘Chasing Cars’, ‘Run’ en ‘Shut Your Eyes’.
